After being scolded for cheating, my wife's company went public and went bankrupt

The night before the company's IPO, Victoria Sterling was buzzing with excitement. She hosted a lavish celebration party and had her secretary hand out double year-end bonuses in cash.

Blake Harrison, her secretary, grinned, handing everyone a carefully wrapped stack of crisp bills. But when he got to me, he shoved me aside.

"Get out of the way, you’re blocking the path!"

Confused, I asked him what he meant.

He just sneered and slapped a termination letter on my face:

"You lowlife player, how dare you even show your face for a bonus? Get out of here, you're a disgrace!"
