The Dying Heart Still Loves Him

My childhood sweetheart had his heart broken by me. Seven years after he left to study abroad, he finally came back with his new girlfriend to meet the parents.

And I had finally been told by the hospital that after seven years of fighting cancer, I had failed. I could go home and wait for death.

Seeing me being helped by my mom as I sat in a wheelchair, my childhood sweetheart's lips curled into a mocking smile.

"Seven years, and look how pathetic you've become. You can't even walk anymore."
