Inside the jacket
After I closed a million-dollar contract, the intern who usually treated me like dirt suddenly brought me breakfast.
"Eat this, and you have to hand the Vance account over to me, Evelyn."
Of course, I refused. I tossed the breakfast straight into the trash.
The intern burst into tears, ran into our boss Arthur Johnson's office, and claimed I was bullying her.
I tried to defend myself, but my boyfriend, Scott, took her side. "Evelyn always steals the interns' accounts."
Johnson fired me on the spot.
