When Justice Drowns My Son’s Fate

My ten-year-old son joined the school's extracurricular swimming club, but during practice, a classmate held his head down forcefully against the drain.

When I saw the water turning red, I frantically pulled my son out.

But his entire face had been disfigured by the powerful suction. He coughed up a pool of blood and stopped breathing.

The ringleader, a boy, shouted that he was a minor and not bound by law.

"So what? I've had it out for him for a while. With him dead, no one's competing with me for first place."

His father contemptuously tossed me a card.
