After the Breakup, I Became My Ex-Boyfriend’s Stepmother
Chapter 2
Dad?
The man beneath me was his dad?
My drunken haze cleared instantly.
I hung up the phone in a flash.
“Not getting off yet?”
The man’s eyes narrowed at me.
“Right. Mr. King.”
It was, after all, my first time meeting my boyfriend’s dad.
I wanted to appear as well-behaved as possible.
But then I remembered I wasn’t wearing any clothes, and my resolve deflated.
He never mentioned having such a young and handsome dad!
“Mr. King? So now you’re well-behaved?”
“You weren't so quiet when you were biting me last night.”
Ah!
I froze in utter shock.
I scrambled off him immediately and frantically started getting dressed.
He watched me the entire time.
And waited with immense patience until I was fully dressed.
Then he asked,
“Are you Ryan King’s girlfriend?”
“Ex… ex-girlfriend.”
I corrected him.
“Do you remember anything from last night?”
“I forgot.”
I stood rigidly by the bed, like a guilty child caught by a strict teacher.
“Hm, how do you plan to handle this?”
I don't know.
My world just crashed down.
Yesterday, I heard Ryan King’s dad was sick, so I planned to show some initiative and visit him, hoping he’d persuade his son not to break up with me.
I just had a few drinks.
How did I end up causing such a huge disaster?
“Uh, Mr. King, please get well soon. I’ll visit you another time.”
He glanced at me, then summed it up with one sentence.
“Got it. You don’t want to take responsibility.”
“No! I mean…”
I hung my head.
“I was wrong.”
He stood up and slowly, methodically dressed.
Even though his back was to me, the lines of his back still made my face flush.
“I’ll have the driver take you back. My flight is in an hour, so I’m a bit short on time…”
“No need!”
I quickly averted my gaze.
Just as I was about to leave, my eyes caught sight of the torn condom wrappers in the trash can, which were pretty jarring.
To destroy the evidence, I swiftly grabbed the trash bag, intending to make a quick escape.
The moment I pulled the door open, I bumped right into Ryan King.
“Daisy Miller? What are you doing in my dad’s room?”
