Crown Snatcher

Chapter 2

The next day, someone in the gossip group posted a photo of her commuting to work.

Bethany, donning oversized sunglasses and toting a Hermes bag, strode out of the car with an air of arrogance after the driver opened the door for her.

The car was mine, and so was the bag.

Bethany was shorter than me, and from the slightly loose suit she was wearing, it was clear that the suit belonged to me as well.

Before she even reached the elevator, the fashionable employees in the gossip group had already stripped her down, analyzing her from head to toe.

"Daughters from wealthy families really are different. The clothes she wears could buy a whole house."

"I envy her so much, and I'd love to be friends with a rich woman like her."

"Who wouldn't want to latch onto someone like that?"

But soon, their opinions changed.

On her first day at work, Bethany took the team leader, Brad Williamson's seat.

She claimed that the background of Brad's seat looked better for shooting videos.

Brad's smile went from flattering to fake.

On her second day, Bethany took credit for a colleague's report.

On her third day, she inexplicably scolded a colleague.

In the videos she posted every day, her superiors were eager to give her the best spot; she wrote amazing reports in minutes and criticized her colleagues for being useless...

She portrayed herself as a workplace elite.

Her colleagues became her comparison group, and her fans started calling us "Waste No. 1", "Waste No. 2"...

Watching her superiors fawn over her while her colleagues dared not speak out, I was thoroughly disappointed with the company's management.

I had filled pages in my little notebook with notes.
