Chapter 1

After I fell down the snowy mountain, no one in my family even noticed I was missing.

I tried to reach my brother on the walkie-talkie, but he just snapped impatiently.

"Do you have to make a scene right now? Luna lost one of her gloves. We need to take her back. Stop trying to play the victim!"

Luna. My sister-in-law.

I connected to my fiancé, Daniel. His voice was even colder than Alex's.

"Luna lost a glove. I'm not in the mood to deal with your jealousy.

"I bet you stole her glove, didn't you?

"If anything happens to her, you and I will be enemies for life!"

With my last ounce of strength, I tried to reach Mom and Dad.

My parents' answer was to hurl the walkie-talkie into the abyss. The line went dead forever.

A month later, they finally remembered me.

"Luna's fine, she doesn't need to be so jealous. Tell Summer to come back quickly."

"Mr. and Mrs. Harrison, Miss Summer's body has been recovered from the snowy mountain.

"She didn't make it, as she gave her own warm gear to Miss Luna.

"She carved this final plea into the ice:”

“ In the next life, never be a Harrison."
