Five years into my marriage, when our daughter was three, I discovered that Damon, my husband, had been seeing his mistress, Chelsea, for the past five years.

Watching the video, seeing my daughter's legs broken by Chelsea, her body covered in festering wounds from being pinched, I completely lost it.

But Damon's face remained disturbingly calm. He even mocked me for overreacting.

"Chelsea just gets a little jealous, honey. That video was just for show. She'd never lay a hand on our daughter."

My entire body trembled with rage. I gritted my teeth and spat each word at him.

"If anything happens to Willow, I swear I'll make you and your mistress pay with your lives!"
