My brother!

I turned to look at Shawn. "Brother, help me..."

My brother took a big step forward, grabbed the back of my head without a word, and slammed it down hard.

"You useless piece of trash! How dare you offend Mr. Yan!"

"Hurry up and apologize to Mr. Yan and Miss Rachel!"

My forehead split open on the marble floor, blood blurring my vision as I collapsed in a heap.

"How did our Xu family produce such a shameless thing!"

Shawn kicked me again without hesitation.

Then he immediately turned to Harry, bowing and scraping as he fawned over him.

"I'm so sorry Mr. Yan, it's all my fault for not teaching my sister properly. I've caused you trouble. How about I make her apologize to you and Miss Rachel?"

"Or I could give her to you! You can do whatever you want with her!"

"As long as you're willing to invest a bit in the Xu family, we can work together for mutual benefit. What do you think?"

Harry was very pleased with his behavior.

"As expected, Young Master Xu has much better manners. Much more sensible than your sister."

With Harry's approval, Shawn immediately stomped on my palm.

I curled up in pain, glaring at him viciously.

"Shawn! I'm your sister. How can you do this? Do Mom and Dad know?"

He grabbed my chin contemptuously.

"You dare mention Mom and Dad? The Xu family doesn't have a treacherous daughter like you!"

I stared at him in shock.

I was too naive. Parents who were ready to marry me off to an old man, how could I have any expectations of them?

A family that had only ever used me as a tool for promotion since childhood, how could I hope for love?

Tears streamed down my face.

A warm flow trickled down my lower body. Rachel covered her mouth and screamed, pointing at the hem of my dress.

"She's bleeding!"

I quickly covered my abdomen.

I was two months pregnant, and hadn't had a chance to tell Frederick yet.

Blood stained my white dress red. I broke out in a cold sweat from the pain.

Rachel continued in shock.

"Miss Xu, you didn't get knocked up by some random guy, did you? Is that why you came to find Harry today? Were you hoping he'd take responsibility?"

Harry glared at me in a rage.

"You actually dared to get pregnant with another man's child! Tell me, who is he!"

"Damn it, Zoe, are you that desperate? I've only been gone five years and you've become such a shameless slut!"

He slapped me again.

I covered my stinging cheek and yanked off the necklace around my neck, revealing the hidden wedding ring.

"I'm already married! This child has nothing to do with you!"

"What?"

Harry let out a cold laugh.

"You? Married? Who would want damaged goods like you? I bet you don't even know who the father is, do you?"

He grabbed my wrist forcefully.

"Don't forget! You're still my wife in name!"

"This child absolutely cannot be kept!"

I frantically shielded my belly, my nails digging deep into my palms.

"This child is Frederick's. If you dare touch him, Frederick will never let you off!"
