Time passed quickly, and it had been almost a year since Jason disappeared.

I often said I missed my brother very much. Whenever I did, Mom would cry uncontrollably.

She couldn't help suggesting to Dad:

"Why don't we adopt a boy?"

I seemed to have guessed this would happen, so I also strongly agreed.
