Chapter 3

Under the mattress in my room, there was a little secret that no one knew about.

I locked the door and lifted the mattress directly.

It was a photo from five years ago.

In it were my dad, Natalie, and a woman I had never seen before.

My dad and that woman stood on either side of Natalie.

All three had the same smile, radiating happiness.

It made people believe without a doubt that this was a real family.

Among them, Natalie and my dad's smiles were strikingly similar.

Even the upward curve of their mouths was at the same angle.

It made their blood relation undeniable.

I thought, perhaps it was because Natalie looked so much like my dad that my mom believed her so easily!

Bang bang bang!

"Sophia, open the door!" my mom called from outside.

I instinctively hid the photo back in its place, making sure there was no trace of disturbance before opening the door.

"Mom, what's wrong?"

Outside, my mom was holding Natalie's hand, looking at me with a troubled expression.

Seeing my mom hesitate to speak, Natalie pretended to be hesitant and tugged at my mom's sleeve, saying in a pitiful voice:

"Mom, why don't I just go back to my previous home? This way, big sister won't be angry!"

???

I was full of question marks. What was Natalie up to now?

"Go back where?"

My mom patted Natalie's hand, indicating that she should rest assured.

"Natalie, your home is here. Don't worry, as long as I'm around, no one will drive you away!"

"As for Sophia, you're the older sister. I haven't mistreated you in these fifteen years. It's just that now that Natalie is back, you should pack up your things and move to the guest room!"

"This room will be kept for Natalie from now on!"

After rattling off all this, my mom didn't even look at me before turning and leaving with Natalie!

Huh!

So they're already starting to squeeze me out?

This is getting more and more interesting!

Looking at their retreating figures, I started to feel strangely excited and expectant.

I wonder what kind of reactions everyone will have when the truth comes out!
