Chapter 1

We found them deep in the Sacred Grove, hidden among the laurels.

A fierce Alpha scent choked the air.Mingling with the sweet, cloying scent of my sister’s Omega heat.

Her clothes were falling off as she clung desperately to him.To the man who,in a past life, had been my mate.

I once stood by him, watching him rise from an exiled Bloodrage rogue to the heir of North America's supreme Silver Moon Syndicate.

Heh...she had timed her heat perfectly.

She flashed an incredibly smug smile.

"Selena, such a powerful Alpha...in this life,I will be the one crowned as his Luna."

"Have fun rotting away in some human college."

I took a step forward. He shoved me back.

He pulled her behind him,and his icy wolf eyes locked onto mine."Who said you could touch her?Get out."

I swallowed every feeling that clawed up my throat.

That night,I took my Ivy League letter and left my homeland behind.

Ready to start over.

……

Bella stood in the center of the Sacred Grove, her fur vest torn to shreds.

A wild, victorious grin stretched across her face.

She looked like a she-wolf who just sank her teeth into the ultimate prize.

"Dad!Mom!"

She shouted, her voice dripping with triumph.

"I want him!I want him to mark me right now. He’s my mate!"

Her manic joy should have stung. It didn't.

My mind drifted back to my past life.I could still see the madness in her eyes just before she died.

Faking a friendly visit, she broke into the estate Kane and I shared.

But in her hand was a silver dagger coated with wolfsbane.

She lunged at me like a madwoman.

My loyal Beta pinned her to the floor before she could even get close.

She thrashed around,screaming.

"Selena,I saw them drug you!I saw them drag you into the woods!"

"I let it happen.I wanted your reputation trashed!"

"It was the only way Dad would give me that Ivy League spot!"

"But those rich Alpha heirs treated me like a plaything! They ruined my life!"

"I lost everything! You married a Bloodrage rogue! Why do you get to have it all?It isn't fair!"

"If I got one chance, you'd be the one tossed to the human world to suffer!"

As the guards moved to drag her away, she shoved them back. She vaulted over the balcony edge, plummeting to her death.
