I paid with my husband Daniel's payment card at a boutique, spending 30,000 dollars on a designer bag.

When Daniel's mother, Nora Howard, saw this, she immediately rushed over, snatched the bag from my hands, and slapped me across the face.

"You bitch! Daniel works so hard for his money, and you're spending it so recklessly!

"You dress yourself up so beautifully every day. Tell me, are you carrying on with other men?"

With these words, she picked up the scissors and slashed the bag open before throwing it into the trash. She even threatened to have Daniel divorce me.

I shrugged my shoulders and gave her an indifferent look.

After all, this bag wasn't for me. It was a gift Daniel had asked me to buy for his client.

When I got home, Nora was just coming out of the bedroom. It looked like she had just gotten up.

Before I could greet her, she immediately spotted the bag in my hand and rushed over to grab it.

"You bitch! Daniel works so hard for his money, and you're spending it so recklessly!"

My lips moved slightly as I was about to explain, but she slapped me across the face first.

She looked at me with a twisted expression, then scolded, "I've always known you were a spendthrift woman. If Daniel didn't like you so much, there's no way I'd let you marry him!

"In all the years that you've been married, you've never contributed anything to this family. You just stay at home every day, spend Daniel's money, and expect me to take care of you."

With that, she spat on the floor.

"You dress yourself up so beautifully every day. Tell me, are you carrying on with other men?"

I was furious, unable to believe how shameless she was.

What did she mean, I only stayed at home and spent Daniel's money? Why was she accusing me of having an affair?

I stayed at home because my job was running a social media account.

Now I made over 10,000 dollars a month.

Aside from regular savings, I spent all of it on the family.

I knew Daniel was busy with work, so after finishing my video editing tasks, I took on chores like grocery shopping and cooking.

I also knew he was a filial person, so when he said he wanted to bring his mother to live with us, I didn't object.

If anyone hadn't contributed to this family, it should be Nora.
