My Wife Sent Me to Die for Her Childhood Friend—Then Lost Her Mind After I Died
Chapter 3
Everyone’s expression changed.
Bianca had just been about to scold him when a scream sounded nearby.
“There’s a dead body!”
“In the river, there’s a dead body in the river…”
I also followed the direction that person was pointing and looked toward the center of the lake.
At that moment, my soul shook.
That was my body.
The long soaking had already turned me into white bones.
The terrified cries around me seemed to never stop.
But I seemed unable to hear anything else.
In my ears, a distant voice faintly came through.
“Ethan Hayes, you deliberately used this kind of bony fish to make soup, didn’t you?”
“Were you very pleased to see me get stabbed by a bone?”
“Since that’s the case, eat these fish bones and spines to atone to me.”
Adrian’s voice made me struggle desperately and try to flee.
But those so-called mentors forced me down and made me kneel in front of him.
The five pounds of fish bones and fish spines in front of me looked like a death curse.
As the fish bones and spines entered my stomach, the hard bones and spines left countless wounds in my mouth, in my throat, and even in my stomach.
Pain spread from my chest, and my throat burned fiercely too.
I wanted to live, so I could only kneel in front of him and keep kowtowing.
My forehead became covered in wounds, and I did not dare stop.
By accident, blood stained his white shoes.
He became furious.
He kicked me to the ground.
“What methods do you use to teach a lesson to men who violate male virtue?”
“I’d like to see it too.”
My eyes widened, and I fled in panic.
But this group of so-called mentors had already prepared, and when the electric baton shocked my body, my whole body was instantly filled with unbearable pain.
Soon, hemp rope was tied around my body, and sharp, thin iron skewers were stabbed into all ten of my fingers and into my toes.
The agony that shot from my fingers to my heart made me faint several times.
Only Adrian’s loud laughter remained in the whole room.
My fever would not go down, and Adrian did not allow them to treat me.
He watched helplessly as I burned to death from the high fever.
Only then did Adrian finally panic, and in a fluster, he tied stones to my corpse and sank me into the lake.
“The police are here!”
A loud shout rang out, and the people in the male virtue camp scattered and fled.
I was also pulled back to my senses.
Bianca frowned and grabbed the director, who was trying to escape.
“Why are you running?”
The director snorted coldly.
“Someone died!”
“If I don’t run, am I supposed to stay here and wait for the police to shut us down and arrest us all?”
Bianca could not stop the director.
Her expression looked a little ugly, and the anxiety on her face became more and more obvious.
Adrian kept urging her to leave, but Bianca refused every time.
The medical examiner examined the body.
“The deceased suffered abuse before death, and the entire body is covered in wounds.”
“They appear to be whip wounds, and the fingers and toes all show signs of sharp objects being driven into them.”
“A large number of fish spines and fish bone remains were found in the mouth, the throat, and inside the body.”
…
With every sentence, Adrian’s face turned paler.
Seeing Bianca’s brows furrow tighter and tighter, Adrian grabbed her wrist, and his expression grew increasingly nervous.
“Bianca, this body couldn’t be Ethan’s, could it?”
The phone in Bianca’s hand fell to the ground, but she snorted coldly.
“If it really is his, then with all the evil things he did, this level of torture would be too easy on him.”
She picked her phone back up, but the hand gripping it had bulging veins.
A long time passed.
“Officer Lewis, the DNA comparison results are out.”
“The deceased is named Ethan Hayes, and he is the husband of Bianca Blackwell of Blackwell Group.”
