I Came Back Before the Fatal Crash

It was Annie’s birthday, and we were heading to the amusement park.

Suddenly, a luxury car sped past us. That instantly enraged my husband, a former racing champion.

He slammed on the accelerator, giving chase, completely ignoring that Annie and I hadn't buckled our seatbelts.

I don't think I'd ever seen him lose control like that, except for the time he lost the Underground Racing Championship to a mysterious racer.

Eventually, to avoid a child who darted into the road, he swerved sharply, crashing into a tree.

Annie and I died instantly.
